Getting married is one of the biggest milestone in everybody's life especially for Singaporean who are doing it under the stress of not just parents but also our gahment. It's about committing the rest of your life to another person and that "contract" we sign is indefinite unless you are an American and your wedding will probably last as long as the condom in your wallet.
And before wedding can proceed on, one of the biggest question man will face is how big acrock must he buy and the other will be how to present this rock. It's funny we have to spent like thousands of dollar on this piece of rock and we are pretty sure the lady will want it but we still have to think of a good way to give it. By the way, if you have yet to get what I'm trying to say, I'm talking about "The Proposal".
Trust me, your parents got married way easier and I credit that to Hollywood who totally blow wedding proposal out of proportion. And of course, this guys -
This guy practically got the whole TV station to do this proposal for him.
And this guy basically got Disney to help. It's unreal.
As for Singaporean? More often than not we get "Let's buy HDB".
And in view of this, this very creative pair of Singaporean started a business known as "HelpYouMarry.com" I think this idea is an AWESOME IDEA! Man pay the money, no need to stress and viola! Not too sure how to lady feels about this though, better for him to do a simple but sincere proposal or a proposal which is planned by others but him paying it?
Anyway, last week I was at the scene of Singapore First on Train Proposal. The idea was really cool considering how often our trains get negative feedback these days. Did the guys really pull off the proposal?
I thought the proposal was pretty cool and I was very impressed that they managed to get all the license and clearance for this.
They actually hide all the family members and members of the media at one side of the train and the train was still in normal operation. Meaning to say member of the public were still boarding the train. The coordination was as such that the couple board the train few stops after we boarded the train but it was no secret once they boarded and the lady was "greeted" by many cameras.
This proposal was only possible because of not just HelpYouMarry but also with the support of AsiaRooms.com.
Clarence Lin, Brand Development Lead of AsiaRooms.com, who was present to congratulate the two couples, said, “Every day, AsiaRooms.com plays a part in hundreds and thousands of lives as we are the choice source for accommodation options for travellers around the world, and this Valentine’s Day, we want to show that we can be part of their journey even as they celebrate some of life’s highlights with partners or loved ones. And as part of the couples’ celebrations, AsiaRooms.com is happy to sponsor a romantic getaway for the soon-to-be weds.”
On top of this, AsiaRooms.com is also running a campaign on its Facebook page www.facebook.com/AsiaRooms. Users can participate by sharing their personal love stories on the Love Trails app. Love Trails is the first interactive app on Facebook that allows fans to pin “badges” representing romantic firsts, from “first date” to “first fight” and “first hotel stay” on the Singapore map where these memories were created.
So Singaporean guys, please buck up with winning your lady's heart else you know who to find now.
