You know we always like to slam all the beauty pageant in Singapore like machiam* all our girl friends and friends are very pretty? The answer is NO. And that's also why they ain't part of such contest. Anyway, you can't blame us frankly, the only reason we slam is because we have higher expectation when it comes to beauty pageants, that is the only way that we can improve!
Anyway that being said, nothing is going to stop anyone from creating any of these "talent" search and this year, OCBC cycle joins in the fun. F1 can have get a grip grid girl, Newpaper can have need a New Face and now introducing OCBC critical looking crit girls!!
Apparently it seems like this contest is 100% based on ONLINE VOTING! We know what that means. It's going to be a popularity rat race, multiple events created to ask you vote, private messages, buying of likes and still we might end up with a not pretty my cup of tea kinda winner.

Personally, I always feel that joining such contest needs a lot of courage. It's like putting yourself on a public platform to get scrutinise. Am I being an asshole with some of the comments? Yes, that's exactly what I mean by public scrutiny and that takes a lot of courage and in fact I'm already very nice with my comments. If only you could read my pre backspaced version. No boobs? Fat? Ugly? Looks like Ah Lian and what not.
I've many beauty pageant friends but to me they are only human and in fact they look better in person. Why? Because they know what dress fits them the best, what color make up fits them the best. Very often at such contest, they are being issued with things that doesn't look nice on them or even makeup that makes them looks a lil like...
So why are these girl still joining such contest? For fame? For money? For profile? For fun? For experience? Or maybe just because she accompanied her friend to join and got selected instead? Regardless of what their reason for joining is, I still give them my upmost respect because it's really not something I would join because yes, I can't take the fact that I will not win, I'm competitive this way.
