Cuisine Master Hot Pot at Boat Quay - A fine dining hot pot experience.

So I was invited to a food tasting session last week with the wife

Hot pot eating has always been one of the favorite thing to do for many Chinese family locally especially for occasions such as Chinese New Year or birthdays. I didn't use to be a fan of it because I thought that everything goes into the soup just taste like the soup but under the influence of the wife I became a fan of it. Not just about eating the food but also enjoying the time gathering around the table and chit chat.

Singaporean being Singaporean has a "standard" way of eating hot pot at the hot pot places. Typically hot pot places in Singapore are all buffets so most people will want the best value out of it and they will take all the most expensive food. Like a pile of prawns.

Randomly from on google.
That being said, do you believe that I went to a hot pot place and my hot pot meal only had 1 Prawn but I was still very satisfied and very happy?

Located at the heart of Singapore at Boat Quay, Cuisine Master Hot Pot (CM Hot pot) is a new hot pot restaurant that offers an alternate hot pot experience. Different from our typical all-you-can-eat hot pot, CM Hot pot offers an alternate hot pot fine dining experience where you get the best value out of eating high quality food and healthy food as compared to over eating just to "break even".

Look at the "atas" looking interior of this hot pot place! It is nothing like what I would have imagine. The wife and I felt so under dress the moment we stepped in.

We were in T-shirt and Singlet!!
Other than the VIP Room and open walk in area, they also have a very nice open area on the top floor with a view facing one of Singapore's best night view.

As you all should know base on my recent two posts, I am a very lousy food blogger. I sat in front of this post for very long thinking of what to say, thinking of how to say and all I can say is that the fine dining experience is something that one has to experience it themselves to find out what it actually means.

We start the dinner with fruits! That's the healthier way!

Their special Side Dish Trio. My favorite has to be the refreshing cherry tomato in the Orange sauce! This is super appetizing.
One point to note about CM Hotpot is their eye for detail in everything even to the cups and every single other things.

This is the correct way to use a Jue.

This is the wine bottle that can keep the wine warm but frankly the wine is too strong for my liking.

And this special looking hot guy pot.
And the most interesting part that it actually "pop up" from the bottom of the table. And this is currently 1st in Asia technology.

Yes, 1 prawn each only and if you are wondering, that fish head is real.

Even the meat is served so nicely!
One point to note, this hot pot other than the quality of food, the way it is being served is different from the usual, you also do not need to cook it yourself! Everything will be cooked and served by a server and everything will be cooked the right way.

At this point of this post you might have questions such as how much is this and what not. CM Hotpot's menu comes in a few different set. It is not an ala carte menu nor buffet but it is base on set menu which range from $49 - $133, The one shown above is actually the $78 menu with a slight addition. Do note that being a lousy food blogger and too happily indulge with eating my food, I did miss out a few of the items.

CM Hot Pot operates from 11am- 3pm, 6pm -11pm every Monday to Saturday.  They only operate on Sunday base on reservation only.

You might ask again, who eats such fine dining from 11am - 3pm on a working day? To answer your question, CM Hot pot has a special lunch noodle menu!

Special Buddha Jump Over The Wall Noodle!

Overall Verdict - 5 stars! The food, the experience, the ambience was really good. No doubt the price might be a little steep especially when you are comparing it to the typical local steam boat/hot pots but this is totally value for money.

Address: 68 Boat Quay, Singapore 049856. (Facing the river, the inner area is known as circular road.)
