Staycation is a big thing in Singapore. You may or may not be surprised but I've worked with many hotels and stats has shown that hotels occupancy in Singapore is largely taken up by local staycationers here. How much? As much as 70% on average. What's the magic of a staycation then? If you have travelled enough around the world you will noticed that Singapore is one of the few countries that has the most affordable hotel rooms with the best service and most to offer. From fancy interior to amazing service. You name it, we have it.
And if you are also a big fan of staycations, then you have to check out Scarlet Hotel Singapore.
Scarlet hotel is located along Erskine Road which is within walking distance to Chinatown where you can enjoy a wide variety of food. And just right beside it is Ann Siang Rd where you can find loads of watering holes. It's one of those hotels that you can actually catch a bunch of friends for drinks before that and hit back to the hotel with your partner for a romantic night after. Nobody has to be the designated driver on duty and miserably stay off the alcohol!
If you ain't exactly into meeting your friends and just want a romantic day with your significant other, you can always check out Casa Tartufo as well as Aria roof top bar which is located right within the hotel.
This hotel is not just one of my favourite boutique hotel in Singapore but it is also Jay Chou's! Yes, it's not my imaginary friend Jay but the actual Taiwanese Pop Idol Jay Chou. Rumour has it that he visited Singapore sometime back for a romantic getaway and Scarlet was where he stayed.
The Scarlet always gives me the feeling of passion, romance, sexiness, and boldness. It's seriously one of those places best to impress your date.
The Scarlet Singapore’s interior design rejuvenation personifies the characteristics of the complex hostess herself, by conjuring ambiences and design elements that in a bold sweep capture a singular personality. I'm not surprised why guys like me and Jay (first name basis you see!) like this place!
And I really love this signature backscratcher they have for guests!
