These two NBA future hall of famer, Jason Kidd and Grant Hill came into the league at the same time and was name Rookie of the Year in the same year - 1994. They were the 2nd and 3rd draft pick respectively. And within a week, both of them has announced their retirement. I wonder if they planned this.

One thing about NBA players that I always enjoy about is not just about scoring or sharing but the longevity of a player's life. Grant Hill battled a career of injuries and it's not easy to bounce back. Although he never did got back to the same level but he was playing at a level I would say it's above average. All said and done, these two players stay in the league as one of the most wanted players for 19 seasons. Great respect to both.

Jason Kidd

Growing up watching Kidd, there's two things that come to my mind when we talk about Kidd. Triple Doubles and his free throw routine.

I call it "The Kiss".

And Triple Doubles? He comes in 3rd behind Oscar Robertson and one of my favorite - Magic Johnson.

Grant Hill

It's a shame he didn't end his career with a ring or two. But again, we have Stockton, Malone, Sir Charles and the list goes on to player who should have gotten a ring or two. Interesting thing about Hill he is he actually gotten three times NBA sportsmenship award. And he is the ONLY player who got that award 3 times. Frankly, even as a NBA fan who watched the games for years, I have NO idea how they award this award.

There goes another 2 stars leaving the league, what's next for them? Coaching? NBA TV? Whatever the case is I wish them all the best!

Mr.Smith, no Kidding man. This is a Grant Event for sure.
