5 things a man should note while choosing an aesthetic clinic

Previously, I was talking about the importance of putting in more effort on my looks considering how I'm not 24 anymore. Sorry to say we are not living in hogwartz where magic is real (is it not?) and neither am I Benjamin Buttons. Okay, I take that back, I am glad I am NOT Benjamin Buttons. The idea is actually kinda disturbing.

My secret to good skin and looking young - Milkshake! If only.
It's actually quite strange to be getting compliments these day from people I've known for years, and they are now like calling me "good looking" and all. No I'm not kidding. (and neither did I make them send me those msg)

I mean like, WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG TO REALIZE THAT I'M GOOD LOOKING? (Not even humble bragging wtf. Okay, just kidding lah. I am sure they are just being nice and making me happy.)

I really don't think it's a matter of looking good overnight like suddenly I just become Andy Lau but it is the small things I did which made me a lot more confident as a person which gives people the impression that I'm looking better. From eyebrow shaping, to weight loss and also skin care.

You may be surprised (okay, maybe not) actually how many men out there that don't really go for skincare treatment etc and it's not simply because they do not care but they do not know where to start.

So I've decided to share some tips when it comes to choosing a nice aesthetic clinic!

1. The Doctor

Sometimes when you visit a nice restaurant you will just remember the place but when you pay a bit more for some celebrity chef you are actually paying for his cooking. Then again, you never know because you are never in the kitchen. That's totally different when it comes to being at a aesthetic clinic. Nothing is more important than the doctor himself. It sounded very much like a "captain obvious" moment, but it is very true. Not only is your face and life under his hands, he also must make you comfortable. Imagine a doctor who talks down to you during your visit?

"Told you don't eat fried food right? See lah, your face so chui". Okay, that's not him. That's probably me IF I'm a doctor. But NO, Doctor Ram is very nice. A very patient and gentle person. He will explain things nicely to me and what I want or need to do. End of the day it is about what I am comfortable with. He will only recommend but not enforce anything on me!

So getting comfortable is important. Not just about Paper qualification. (Sounds so PAP. LOL)

Which in his case, he has them all as well. #WinLiaoLor

2. The Environment

I was actually very worried before reaching the clinic before it was my 1st time and I've no idea what to expect. I was very worried it is like "clinic" like dentist or our GP where it is gives off the vibe that I'm going to die soon. When I stepped into The Wellness Clinic I was very delighted by how it looks! They have nice coffee machine, free wifi, nice furniture and it made me felt more at home than anything! No lah, I didn't take off my pants and walk around in my boxers. (yet)

3. The Staff

Sorry wrong image. In fact I just didn't take a picture of them. I really like the team at The Wellness Clinic. They remember me by name, (or maybe they know I'm coming because of the scheduled appointment) they are always offering something, and the good vibes. All of them are like so happy working there. They are always bubbly talking to me. There was once I was waiting for my treatment and 3 of them were in the room talking to me like some old friends! Ooops, not too sure if their boss is okay with 3 of them talking to me. LOL. #Sorry

4. The Skincare Products

I was showing my friends the products I gotten from the clinic and she was rather impressed that TWC actually has their own products. According to her, not every clinic actually carries their own products. Some of them are just products off the shelf but they probably still charge you an arm or a leg.

My wife actually tried my sunscreen and I think I need to get more of that just for her too.

5. Big Nice Mirror for Selfies

No lah, I'm just kidding. I just wanted to insert this selfie which I thought it's not too bad a picture. Having good skin is a journey and it's not just about using what the doctor gives or certain treatment and you will have perfect skin. It includes a lot of daily habits and even diet. Of course I'm no expert but these are some of the advice Dr. Ram will share with you during the consultation as well.

I still have some minor pimples on and off maybe because of my dirty towel from the gym or because I rub my face with my dirty hands during a basketball game. But I must say, my pores and general skin condition got a lot better after I started visiting Dr. Ram at TWC since 2 months ago.

And no lah, it is not strange at all for a man to visit such clinics. As much as women likes to be chio chio, a man also can hiao lah!
